When I was young I spent a lot of time drawing, painting and making up stories. Now that I am grown up, I spend my time drawing, painting and writing stories. I guess not much has changed.

     After graduating from The Philadelphia College of Art (University of the Arts,) I attended The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. It was then that I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

​     ​I often add an animal whether there is one in the story or not because I think animals make the pictures more fun. I like the whimsy in life and want to share that fun with others.

​     My paintings have been exhibited in many Juried Shows in the Philadelphia area and in the Pacific Northwest.

    I am a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

My husband Hugh and I live on the beach with the eagles, the herons and the seagulls at Sandy Point, WA in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, along with a little grey rescue poodle,

named Puck, who like one of my picture book characters likes to run away on adventures.
